A 3-state output flip-flop (Tri-state buffer/flip-flop) is a special type of latch or flip-flop whose output port can be in one of three different states: high, low, or high High-impedance, often used for input/output (I/O) port control in digital circuits. The tri-state output flip-flop has three input ports: data (Data) input port D, enable (Enable) input port E and clock (Clock) input port C. When the enable port E is at a high level, the state of the tri-state output flip-flop is controlled by the data input port D and the clock input port C, and can output a high level or a low level. When the enable port E is at a low level, the output port of the tri-state output flip-flop is in a high-impedance state, which is equivalent to disconnecting the output port.
