Cell Gradient Separation Medium is a low-density gradient separation medium with wide applicability, flexible operation and simple operation. It can be used to separate cells, subcellular particles, bacteria, viruses, and even separate damaged cells and their fragments from intact living cells. The cell gradient separation solution is mainly composed of silica gel particles coated with a single layer of vinylpyrrolidone (PVP) on the surface, with a diameter of 15-30nm, and the content of free PVP is only 1-2%. Due to particle size heterogeneity, centrifugation precipitates at different rates, spontaneously producing a homogenized and isotonic gradient with a density between 1.0 and 1.3 g/mL. Most of the biological particles with a sedimentation coefficient > 60S can be separated by Percoll.
